RBR: Future Plans

 


RBR is a leader in solutions for the fruit industry. The current Triton solution is trusted by many fruit producers throughout South Africa.  Since 2004 RBR Information Systems has worked closely with farms implementing Triton, a Fruit Management solution that allows for the tracking and tracing of the export of fresh produce to the European market. 



Triton

Since the outset, RBR has intended Triton to be very affordable and extremely functional using advanced technology that delivers exceptional results. As part of the changes within RBR, the development team has been invested in and grown as interest and demand for the Triton solution grows, often replacing competitive solutions. Not only does Triton save money buts its functionality helps improve the bottom line.  The Triton product is now proving itself more in a demanding industry and some interesting developments are setting it apart from competitive products and opening new markets overseas in the future. For now, the focus remains on solidifying the current South African market and the two developments will significantly assist in this area.

Titan 2.0

One of the latest achievements is that of integration with TITAN 2.0, the PPECB solution. The main benefits of the initial Titan project included the quick retrieval and approval of the PPECB’s export documents along with an enhancement of the accuracy and credibility of the export certification process which will ultimately contribute to market-access and the competitiveness of South African produce.

The PPECB, whose vision is to enable its customers to become the preferred suppliers of perishable products worldwide, believes that Project Titan is a vital step to empowering its customers to grow their businesses internationally.

TITAN 2.0 is the next generation of systems from PPECB and this has required RBR to integrate Triton to create a seamless solution. Triton is one of the first solutions to integrate and interface with TITAN 2.0 and the first site was a prestigious fruit company in Grabouw – more details to be released soon.  A very hands-on approach that pushed the development team at RBR to the limit ensured success and an integration methodology has since been created – Contact RBR for more information.

Watch this Space

Many other developments are arising at RBR that will have a tremendous positive impact on fruit farmers and packhouses in the very near future. Improved customer service programs and some advancements in the Triton software are all being implemented. More training and more customer feedback sessions using Zoom and other technologies to save time and money are all on the verge of being introduced. RBR take customers seriously and we want to deliver what customers ask for.  RBR has a roadmap that will benefit all stakeholders and help further improve fruit exports in South Africa.
